Just went to the track yesterday and ran an 8.67 1/8 at 81.8 mph. on street tires also. had some traction issues as the air temp was around 60-65 degrees. first time this year i actually spun like hell off the line. Next spring id like to see low 8's-7's. other than gears and headers any recomondations for mods?
[QUOTE=reed62783]is your car completely stock? is it an LT4 or LT1
thats a good 1/8 time if its stock[/QUO
Stock motor, i have an LT1 A4 with the 3.07 gears, i have the hypertech programmer, magnaflow exhaust and 160 stat. How much of a gain would i get with 3.73 gears, slicks and headers? I did have some traction issues with the colder weather, my 60 foot was a 2.07, could have been better.
the gears would be the first thing to do- u might shave off a few more 1/10s doing that- i ran a 9.2 with my lt1 a4- but i have a 2.59 gear- and the track i was at isnt exactly the most accurate time and distance-lol
headers will help some- but u wont see their full potential until u do cam/heads etc..
