Hurst Billet Shifter question 2
I installed the Hurst shifter this past weekend and it is great.
I used the black 2 1/4 inch Hurst **** with the shiht pattern on it.
The problem I had was that when I tightened the **** to a point that seems solid, the shift pattern isn't lined up. Thought about using a thin jam nut but I haven't had any luck finding the correct nut. Any tricks out there to help me line the pattern up?

Mine came with the jam nut, also. Make sure you really tighten the **** on the shifter, but you'll need the jam nut.

Thanks for the quick responses. I just called Hurst and they are sending the jam nut. This mod feels good.

I couldn't find the jam but that was supposed to come with mine. I experienced the same problem, so to recitfy it I used a black rubber washer. **** is now tight as a (you know what) now!

Mine shows about 3/8" of thread without the jam nut. I expect the jam nut will cover the 3/8" of thread or most of it.
