After replacing the bushings on my left front, I started getting a clicking sound occasionally after the light closes. Sometimes, it even happens when turning from Aux. to off.
Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this?
There is a locking nut on the headlight motor worm gear adjusting screw. Did you remember to tighten it?
You have to tighten it to the EXACT number of turns it was loosened during your bushing installation or it will often result in the clicking you're hearing.
Thanks, I wish I had found the tech tip before taking on the job. At the time, I couldn't access them, so I removed the motor. Broke the screws. Drilled out new ones. And, never touched the worm gear adjustment screw.
