Wrong Gasket?
I told my local parts guy I needed an intake manifold gasket. It is a Felpro MS93035-1, the gasket itself is differnt than the one I had before. I have been told that ones for the cast iron heads are different than the ones for aluminum heads is this true?

If this for a '91 L98, the intake manifold is a unique gasket. The front and rear bolt holes have retainers which fit into counterbores in the cylinder heads. You can use the gaskets without the retainers, but the OEM design ensures perfect alignment and they won't slip. GM part # is 12525814 and they include the rear block off plates. There is another set for the '91 F Bodies without the block offs and if you use those, it doesn't seem to effect anything. Current production 113's have the counterbores for these special gaskets (which is how I found out about them).
