Just wondering what the difference is for muffler eliminators for 84-91 and 92-96's?

Thanks,

That's the difference in exhaust systems, brought about by the new engine in 1992.

The 84-91 (L83 and L98) used a pair of Y-pipes and a central cat. 92-96 used 2 separate cats, one for each bank, creating a true dual system.

I think the '92 and up with LT1 motors are 3", while the 84-91 with L98 motors are 2-3/4" pipes.

close ... not quite

LT1/4 and ZR1 cars use a 2 3/4" exhaust piping
L83/L98 cars use 2 1/4" piping
