Default Delay in auto trans? Normal?
I've had my 94 A4 for almost 3 years and it has always hesitated about 3/4 or 1 second before the trans engages after putting it in gear. Is this normal? I never remember to ask when I'm with other vetter.TIA, Robert

No, that's not normal. Have you ever flushed it and changed the filter?

My 94 is a slower to engage than most cars I've driven when going into gear from P or N.

I had the trans. flushed ( or whatever it's called ) where they replace all the fluid about a year or so ago.
