Default High RPM cutout, backfire?!? Fuel Pump Going?

Took the Vette out today and my low rpm miss I experienced after installing the LTCC is gone!!! Ran Awesome for most of the day. I was trying to run some bad gas out. Got close to empty high rpm miss I thought maybe this was because I was low on fuel. Filled up and it did it again at about 6300 BANG!!! Loud Backfire out exhaust!

Could my fuel pump be going or is this something else? BTW the car pulls super hard until that range then lays flat on its face. Feels like fuel is cutting out.

Thanks for your Help!

To rule out the fuel pump, tape a gauge to the windshield and observe the pressure drop as the revs increase. If it just drops at 6300, I'll bet you've hit the rev limiter, fuel shut off.

RACE ON!!!

The Rev Limiter is programmed for 7300. I'll do the gauge thing though today and see what happens to the pressure. Thanks.

Ok after driving today it doesn't always cut out at high rpms, about 1 outa 5 times it will. Will cut out at differnt rpms while cruising sometimes, seems like fuel just shutsoff for a quick sec then ok. Some times it did it multiple times in a row then runs just fine for another 30mins.

I think I'll change the filter and go from there.

Mine was doing the same thing. I changed the filter, it got better. If you got bad gas (crap in the tank) change the sock on the fuel pump, it's in the tank. You can get at it thru the gas tank inlet, remove the lid assembly.
I changed the plugs (was running rich, tips were dark) and it cleaned right up. If you have any exhaust manifold leaks, tighten it up.

I have seen this sort of high RPM stumble being a bad coil. If it's not a fuel issue check that.

did you set the rev limiter on the LTCC?

Did you make your own plug wires? I found that the home builts can be a bit buggy... ask me how I know.
