Nitrous Kit?
Has anyone had experience with the Zex nitrous kits on late model C4's? Is there a better brand out there? Dry or wet? Thinking of the dry kit. Does the computer need any further adjustments or does the kit do that for you? Will it work with hypertech programming? Do I need a purge system for it? If so where do I locate it? What about damage to the engine? Im only looking for a small increase of around 50hp. I don't want to damage the engine. If I do buy one I will get it professionally installed. I have a 95 LT1 auto convertible performance rear axle Corvette with hypertech programming, TB coolant bypass, 160 termostat, K&N airfilter, TB airfoil, and mufflers eliminated. Sorry about all the questions. Your input is much appreciated.
Thanks
Thanks

The only kit that I would recomend would be the nitrous works by barry grant.
It is a wet kit and starts at 75 shot to 175 shot I run the 125 shot .
Never off the line though I tried a 75 shot out of the hole and I broke shocks motor mounts and at a $165.00 a motor mount not smart turn it on after the car gets moving down the track.

from what I've heard..the Zex seems to be a good kit. They offer a different way of modulating fuel ratios. The common misconception is that Zex kits can adjust the bottle pressure automatically. Not true. It has a "brain box" per say that monitors bottle pressure (whatever it may be) and injects the proper fuel needed depending on that pressure. It's not necessary to have a bottle warmer with these kits but it is recommended since best pressures are run 900-1000psi.
Personally, I like the NX kit. They have an LT1/LT4 kit (twin gemini) that offers billet aluminum MAF housings along with a fully adjustable WET kit. I always prefer wet kits since they are much safer from a fuel delivery standpoint and they are more "expandable" into higher HP ranges. Drys are good to 100HP max in my opinion but wets can achieve HP of up to 300!! Happy hunting!

I forgot to mention do not use the hypertech engine programing with nitrous,it will blow your motor!!!
Increese the revlimiter to the max,use 160 stat,255 speed,307-G44 rear setting, lower the 2-3 shift by 200 rpms.
The rev limiter from the factory squeezes the fuel to limit engine rpm's
not a good thing with nitrous.
I run 13.40 at 102mph stock.
I run 11.21 at 121.00 mph with 125 shot.
I also have every thing you can think of from blanket heater to digital gauges,MSD,20000169 Worlboro fuel pump.Lt4 knock sensor which you should already have installed in your computer cheep insurance against cheap gas and everything else.
I use tts programing to monoter engine and hypertech for quick tune and tuner cats for engine, computer changes.
