Default Adjusting TPI

I need some help adjusting the throttle body on my 1988 Corvette. The guy before me screwed around with the idle screw/stop. The manual that I have explanes how to adjust every thing but the throttle body. They claim it is set at the factory and does not require adjustments. The car is a automatic,I have the TPS dialed in at .54v, right now I have the screw in one turn, but it has a crazy idle. revs high then low high then low after a while it will stop this and idle ok. I got a code 33 the other day. Mass air flow signal high. I was going about 30-35 MPH at the time and not even touching the throttle. The Mass air sensor is new ,both relays new. Im thinking that the TB is letting in too much air and throwing me these codes. Anyway, if some one knows how to adjust the TB please let me know.

Thanks,Mike

Generally it does NOT require adjustment. That is why it is sealed from the factory. Look up the "minimum air" adjustment in your manual. Once you have that set (the "idle" screw on the TB) re-adjust your TPS. Then you're done, unless there are other problems.

RACE ON!!!

My method of setting base idle and then TPS is on my site.

If someone messed with it, reset base idle and then check the TPS.
