Default Clutch Issue when trans reinstalled

I got my $1050.00 rebuilt 4spd trans back and I thought I would replace the crapped out clutch as well while I'm doing all that. After getting it all back together just an hour ago I started her up after about two weeks and it felt good. Then I go to shift to reverse and I notice the clutch pedal felt very light, and sure enough it wouldn't engage enough to put it in any gear. I pumped it a few times to see but nope. I didn't do anything with the hydrolics of the clutch but move the slave off to the side while I removed everything else. I never opened the system to allow air in or anything so why would this happen! I'm extremely bummed and running out of cuss words in my vocab. Anyone had this problem??

I had a problem like you describe and it was because I did not install the throwout bearing onto the clutch fork correctly.

Look at the pictures in this technical bulletin:

http://www.centerforce.com/technical...s/I93GM001.pdf

If you did it like the pic on the right, which is what I did, the clutch will not dis-engage all the way.

Thanks a lot for the link! I'm going to go check if that might be the problem after work.
