Input on chip
Newbie here.My first post. Be gentel please!? I have an 89 automatic convert, the only mods i have are k+n filter with open airbox. Whats my best route? Hypertech? or something else? I,m kinda new to the site and everything I'm reading has me a bit overwhelmed. I see some of you burn your own chips. (Man do I have a lot to learn) any input would be a great help. I'm sure since I found this site, My wallet's gonna be hurt'n. Thanks in advance!

First off welcome to the form!!
Well looks like you own a ragtop. First problem if you intend to race it at 13.99 you will need a roll bar.
Save your money the roll bar will cost you more then you thought but
a 4 point will get you on the track .
The car is heaver than a coupe and the auto a little slower so 14.70 is not out of the question.
The best thing is to enjoy your ride!
Roller rockers and springs will give you the most power for your $$.
A good air filter and fuel along with rear end fluid change and oil will be a good start.
A chip can give you a little power but I don't thing it will give what you want,get a good set of drag radials if your going to the track
