Question for people who use Hooker Headers ?

Question for people who use Hooker Headers ?
I have had my Hooker supercomps headers for the last 14 months. They seem to be rusting a little. Both headers are rusting near where the header meets the Ypipe. The rust spot is about 2" x 2" on BOTH headers in the exact same area.
The car has maybe 4K miles since I installed the headers.
Anybody else have this issue ?

Vic, I've had my Hookers on for a year now and they still look practically brand new, zero rust.
I had them stripped & re-coated (internally as well) by HPC coatings, after having them drop shipped directly from Jegs when I first purchased the headers. Apparently the Mexican company that Hooker outsources the coating job to doesn't do the greatest work.

Yeah the next coating I get will be HPC. My jet hot coating has small amounts of rust growing.

Vic, HPC will recoat new or used headers. They immerse the headers ina vat of some kind of solvent to strip off the old stuff & prep for new applications of coating. I assume Jet Hot does exactly the same thing.
