ATF mixing
Yes it is ok to mix Mobil-1 with regular, but there is a better way to replace the fluid. Remove the upper trans cooler pipe that goes into the radiator. Attach a hose to it and place the other end into a bucket. Get about 12 quarts of Mobil-1 and with a friend start the car and add fresh fluid as the old fluid comes out. This fluid exchange will get more of the old stuff out over just dropping the pan.
I must admit it is fairly messy, but so is dropping the pan.

Yes, I know I can flush through the radiator hose. I had Firestone do that for me about 3 months ago, so the fulid is fairly fresh. The main thing I want to do is drop the pan and change the filter (since it hasn't been done) and clean off the magnet and anything else that I can on the underside of the valvebody. Also, because of the high temps around here, I want to get some synthetic fluid in there to help keep it from bubbling up a little like it is now (which is a sign of too much heat)
