Default Bose Stereo problems

OK, I have done the search and read all the old threads but have some more questions. First, has anyone replaced their bad Bose amps with an aftermarket amp called "Amp Options" ? . I had to cut the old wiring harness (1989 Conv. rear amps) and plug in and crimp this new amp. the amp does work but I now have a "pop" when I turn the head unit on and off..just a slight pop and it doesnt come out of the speakers still using the factory Bose amp. I DID replace the bose relay to no effect. My questions are: Has anyone else had this problem after replacing an amp, also, would anyone owners of 87- 89 Vettes with ALL STOCK bose stereos tell me if they get ANY pop at all when they turn the stereo on and off? And last, I didnt keep my original Bose amps does anyone have two FACTORY Bose amps from an 89 covertible that are good for sale (86 or earlier have different plugs and 90+ wont work also front wont swap for rear without wiring cut so need top be rear amps.).
THANKS!

with onedef. Plus, you might want to post over in the audio section. They might be able to help a little more.

I replaced the factory tape player Bose deck in mine with a new CD deck this summer. Mine does pop when the unit is turned off. When it's turned on there is a loud static sound while the antenna goes up. Mine works fine otherwise. I did not at first like the sound of the Bose speakers. Now that I turned on front imaging the system sounds fine. Here is an article from www.madvet.com

Bose Stereo Help

One of the most popular options chosen by buyers of the C4 Corvettes,
built from 1984-96, has been the state of the art Delco-Bose sound
system. We have noticed an increasing volume of inquiries, regarding
various failures of the individual Amplifiers that power each of the
four speaker enclosures.

The system requires all four Amplifiers to power-up and operate any time
the tuner is turned on. This means in 'real world' service, the
amplifiers frequently see more hours of duty than any other component on
the car. Electronic components have no particular life expectancy, but
do seem doomed to failure sooner or later.

If you are experiencing abnormal sounds from one quadrant, or possibly
several, the Amplifier is usually the culprit. The only sure method for
troubleshooting amplifier failure is to transfer the properly working
unit from the opposite side to the side that exhibits the problem. This
same procedure may be used to pinpoint problems with an individual
speaker, harness, etc. Individual components are offered as replacements
for most applications at a fraction of the dealer's cost, and removal
&/or replacement is not beyond the abilities of most owners. I would
also recommend replacing the Amplifiers in pairs, as the output tends to
become weaker as they age. Also, replacing an individual Amplifier often
yields an unbalanced output, while replacing them in pairs provides you
with a spare that may be reinstalled in the event of a future failure.

The Amp Relay is also available as an inexpensive replacement to resolve
a common problem involving popping or static sounds when the unit is
turned off. Hopefully, your stereo is working properly and will continue
to do so well into the future. However, if your 'Asleep at the Wheel'
sounds a little tired or your 'Pearl Jam' isn't jamming, contact our
sales department for a stereo 'tune-up'.

If you contact Bose customer service they will upgrade any or all of your speaker/amps for $75 each. I spoke with them earlier this year and they told me that they would put in new boards, cones, and upgrade any circutry also.
