Default Crazy hatch

for some reason my hatch started just popping open on its own. about every 3 seconds the latch releases. I have the fuse out of it for now to stop it. I dont really know where to start looking for a short. any ideas? anyone else ever had this problem?

also over the weekend I threw on some KBD targa mufflers and some drilled and slotted rotors. Sounds pretty good especially since I have the CAT gutted out.

You will definitly need the Helms Service manual . It is probably a bad hatch release switch , but I have not had the "pleasure" of digging into this one. I had a similar problem with door locks acting crazy which turned out to be a shorted door lock switch. Dave

Just when I think I've heard of every problem that C-4s have......
Ya know, maby we could hook it up to open at a certain speed, as a wing, like them Porche guys have.

Sounds to me like you need to perform a circumcision

Have you tried hooking a meter up to your switch?

I had the same problem. The switch inside of the console (yellow button) was the problem. Gordon was nice to me and fixed it for free at a Corvette show.

Sounds more like the relay to me-but if the above solved it with switch repair so be it.

I have the same random hatch release behavior. I have not found the problem yet. I had figured that something in the console was hitting the button,.... but after working at it a few times I doubt this is the problem.
