Default TV cable adjustment, 88 Vette?

I got an 88 Vette that when shifting from 1-2 and so on with WOT it redlines and takes forever to shift. My dad recently rebuilt the tranny because a seal had blowed and it wouldn't shift out of second no matter what. He put new clutches and seals in it. The transmission has been shifting fine for daily driving although we have noticed that it seems to roll into gear. We have started again taking this car to the drag strip and it will not shift correctly. Before all this happened the car ran 9.10et in the 1/8th and my dad last Friday took it and ran a 9.74et because it would not shift? Just got the car back running because sent injectors off to be cleaned. Does the TPS and idle need to be adjusted for proper shifting? What is the correct procedure is adjusting the TV cable? Thanks for you time!!!!

Depress the tang on the TV cable near the mounting flange on the plenum, and move the cable a few clicks toward the firewall. Then depress the accelerator hard to the floor to set the TV cable.

After replacing injectors there is no need to touch the IAC nor TPS, unless you have an idle problem.

Adjusting the TV cable will only effect part throttle shift points and shift feel. If you want quicker WOT shifts install a TransGo shift kit. If you want to change WOT shift points get a B&M governor recalibration kit from Summit Racing and change the weights & springs in the governor.
