A/C Repair Experience
Here's one for you. My A/C on '94 wasn't working so I dropped it at the shop today. Hours later, they couldn't find problem, refrigerant was o.k.
Computer diagnostic scan showed A/C not cooling due to electrical problem.
The printout I received from the shop says "Test no input into PCM for A/C. While testing at programmer near column compressor engaged. Performed code check at control head, no codes. A/C continued to operate.
The guy that did the work was gone, so I couldn't talk to him, but I was told as he pulled on a wire he was about to probe, the compressor started working. This sounds like less than a permanent fix. Any ideas?
By the way, the belt that engaes the compressor is working constantly now, even with the A/C turned off. Is that the way its supposed to be?
