I'll tell you how I tested mine...I installed Power Effects. 1) it wasn't louder. 2) open vs closed made no difference. Therfore, I conclude my cat was clogged! Not exactly the cheapest way, but it works!! ;)

However, he was thinking of hooking up his Shopvac to the catcon and trying to measure airflow somehow...
He's seriously thinking of making a pass down the street at about a zillion MPH to see what a no-muffler/catcon exhaust sounds like...
