ABS question / concern
Can anyone tell me if I should be worried about the ABS noise? This is the same noise you hear when braking on wet/icey pavement. Last only for a second, but come and goes.
Thanks

If it happens at other times then I'm not sure what that could be - if it is the ABS then could be a loose connection making it think you have just started up, or a faulty sensor applying the ABS too early...etc

But in the old days we had to rely on ourselves, so if the ABS stopped working, you'd be alright as long as the brakes are working.

The reality is this, the Vette's suspension, even in its softest configuration, is too stiff for it's own good. It causes the tires to lose contact with the road under rough conditions, which, is a very bad thing.
The transverse leaf springs are the culpret, get rid of those POS's and 99% of the problem goes away.

Perhaps it's because I don't have the Z07 handling package, but my '93 is almost too soft for a sports car, it's certainly not jarring like the '87 I've driven.
If we're just looking for cars that are good on rought terrain, try an Evo VIII rally car, they make everyone look slow.
But if ABS is coming on during regular driving, something is broke...
As a side note, BMW M3s will not allow the engine past 6000rpm unless all 4 wheels are going nearly, or exactly, the same speed! Makes dyno testing a real bitch.
