I just got a 1989 convertible automatic. In second gear if you let off the accelorator and then after a second get back on it the car takes about a second to reengage (feels like it is in nuetral). I am pretty sure this is not normal but ask the question anyway. I am not sure of all the mods that may have been done yet but I do know that it has non stock headers on it and after adding a bottle of octane boost the car runs really well. Under normal driving conditions I do not notice the condition at all... I was wondering if this was some kind of racing modification... So opinions please... Do you think I have a problem, if so what do you think it might be, and do you think it is something to worry about?
Looked and smells ok. It is strange because the only time you feel it is if you are manually shifting. If you put it in drive and go everything seems fine. This would not be somekind of racing mod would it?
