Default stock 85 spark plug gap

im gonna due a tune up on my stock 85 this weekend. i will be using all ac delco parts including plugs. can anyone tell me what to gap them at.

There should be a sticker under your hood. It will say, .045".

Check the lable under the hood but I believe the proper gap is .035.

84's and 85's use a different gap.... My haynes manual says what it is... but I dont have that on me right now...

.035 on my vette (But I use .04 with the cut-back electrodes)

My under hood label says .045". I thought that was "universal" for gen I engines, with the HEI. I guess that's what happens when I do my own thinking.

it used to be .045 but under my hood is a sticker that says plug gap changed to .035 per gm service tech bulleten
