Default race seats

I'm looking for race seats for HPDE's.
any comments??

I really like the factory sport seats on my 96, but the 5 point harness doesn't work correctly coming around the seat, rather than through the seat.

I would almost consider cutting holes through the factory seat backs, but I think it is too narrow to be done correctly, so I'm looking for real race seats that I can get in and out of easily.

I sat in a C4 with Kirkeys, and getting in and out was real difficult.
any experiences with any race seats?? good or bad....

thx
Larry

A friend of mine back east had the holes installed in his seats. Looked real good.

Corbeau also makes a seat that fits. They look real nice.

I saw these seats for Vettes on the thunder racing site and am considering the TRS. I haven't really looked into it though.

I'm starting to learn about race seats. There are race seats, and "sport" seats. True race seats are 1 piece, and are designed to be a saftey feature.

some of these "race" seats I see with the reclining back rest certainly can't be true competition seats.

I still have a lot of research to do, and all comments are welcome

it really won't be too hard to have a couple holes put in, and then finish them with some plastic insterts to make it look factory....I think they would be really sweet in the sport seats
