84 1227747 upgrade questions
I read the article on the xfire forum about making a pigtail to retrofit the 7747 ecm into an 84. It doesnt say anything about the distributor.... that ecm will recognize my dist module? also i have the 4+3, so i know id have to wire the od switch right to the od module, thats not the prob, im wondering if the ecm would set an error code since it wouldnt sense a trans connection? thanks

You don't need to do anything with the dizzy. Just plug it in and go. You would be better off just sending the ECM to geeky_bill and have him put a module in it. That way you can just plug it into the stock harness. I have one and a Prominator. Both are excellent and geeky_bill does good work. If you can swing it have him convert it to a Prominator this way you won't need to get a eprom burner. All you do is get your data, modify the tables with TunerPro or Tuner Cat and update the flash and drive. If you get the Pro version you can do updates while you are driving..... Not recommended but....... Just because you can does not always mean you should....
