Has anyone out there done the C4 to C5 body conversion? Is it difficult? How does it look (send/or post pics of car if you can). Thanks for your input!
Here's how you do it:
1) find the book value of your car, and do not accept less! Take that cash to the local Chevy dealer.
2) Put that cash down on a nice C5, finance it as long as you need to.
3) Drive off the lot with a really slick car.

I wish I could do that-but I forgot to mention that I'm at a University that sets me back $25,000 a year. I was looking to pick up a decent '86 or '87 and doing the conversion because I really like the look of the C5...Who doesn't [img]http]//www.corvetteforum.cc/ubb/smile.gif[/img] I do like the look of the C4 and I think its a great value-so either way I think I'm going to pick one up.
You asked for an answer and I'll give you one with no smart *** responses or put downs. Look in the Corvette Trader, and you'll find a company, c5west.com that sells a kit to do the changeover. They have pictures on the website. Hey, if that's what you want to do and you like it, then who cares what others think, it only matters what makes you happy.
You want opinions, I say if you want a C5 buy one. Please don't change a C4 into one. I think it is ugly. Do what the rest of us did, buy a car you can afford and then trade up when you are able too. By the time you get out of college, the early C5's will be much cheaper.
