Over the weekend I installed a Perma-Cool part # PRM-18905 I got from Summit Racing.
It is an adjustable temp sensor for turning on your cooling fans. Installation was very simple and took me about 2 hours. I was also able to connect 2 fans and remove 2 fan relays.
I have the unit set to 199 degrees and has been flawless. The fan continues to blow for 30 seconds after I turn the car off.
It has its own sensor that inserts into the radiator fins and is completly independant of the ECM.
I have a black 1985 with 2 fans.
