My 1994 has the low tire pressure sensor option. Am I supposed to have the EMT tires on it? Will using regular tires make the system unoperable? or will it still work?. If I have a flat tire with regular tires on the car will that wreck the sensor? Thanks for the help, I don't know much about the low tire pressure option that my car has.

NO your low tire system gives a dummy light on the dash that says tire low... you dont have to have run flats (emt's) but if you get a flat you can destroy the sensor if you drive on it. It's a piece of plastic in the middle of the wheel on the inside.

My 90 has the low tire pressure sensor (pre emt's). Be very careful at tire shops. I had a place tell me that they knew all about them. They proceded to take the tire off and they tore the sensor off as well. Then they picked it up off the floor and looked at it like they had never seen one before. I got them to replace it at no charge.
