Default Length and ends on LT4 coil wire

I bought the MSDs 8.5 again for my wire change and again I have the wrong coil wire. Last time I pulled the wire and measured it and called MSD to make the wire. I will have to do this again, but I don't won't to pull the coil wire just for the measurements. Do someone know off-hand what length and type connects I need so I can call MSD and have the proper wire sent.

TIA,

I would like to think that MSD would have enough technical savvy to know what it takes to make an LT1/4 coil wire!!!!

One end, the coil, is much like a plug, the other, is the same as the rest of the opti leads.

Think again...

I had a set on my last Vette and it took MSD 3 attempts to make me a new coil wire... The set is advertised for a 92-96, but it should be 92-95...

Each time MSD sent me the wrong wire and finally I was able to make one good wire out of two of the, "wrong" ones... I'm surprised they never corrected the problem...

Off the top of my head, the coil wire should have the mini connectors on both ends, I think the one in the kit is one small and one big connector correct???

I agree. The first time I bought them it took 5 calls to MSD. The guy on the other just wasn't listening. He kept sending me the same wires that came in the box. Finally, I got a guy who ask me for exact measurements in what I wanted. I need to know how long of a wire should I ask for (1ft, etc.).

Taylor supplies both type of coil wires in the set.

The '96 LT1 and LT4 ignition system uses a better coil and ignition module so the LT4 can spin to a higher rpm. And, the newer coil needs a different wire than the '92 to '95.
