I'm normally on the C3 forum but I thought you C4ers would be interested.
My 71 383 tpi has headers and I have about 1/8" clearance between the oil filter and the header collector. My normal oil temp has been 220. After installing the Filter Shield, temps dropped 30 degrees in normal ops and 15 degrees in hard driving.
