3rd break light

Cruise-In II Veteran

OK my 3rd light will not work. I changed the bulb and no luck. All the others work and the fuses are OK.I am guessing all are on the same fuse. #21 20A
Any thoughts on what to check next? Bad socket?

I had the same thing on my '92. I tried changing the bulds, I even checked the wires. Turned out it was the switch on the back of the brake pedal. Picked one up at Auto Zone for about $4.00.

Thanx but the other lights work OK just the center one is notworking.

Right.. That was the only light that did not work on mine. The center brake light. I changed the switch and all's well now...

There are actually two different switch's. one for the 3'd light and one for the rear brake lights. I had a case where my rear brake lights were blinking when I would go down a bumpy road but not the third light! I just bent the pad a slight amount and it took care of it!
