Have you checked fuel pressure? A failing fuel pump will cause this, as will a worn out fuel filter.
The fuel pump relay is an interesting circuit, it rarely fails. It's wired in parallel with the oil pressure circuit, as soon as it hits 4 PSI, it can fire the fuel pump, regardless. This is incase the fuel pump relay craps out.
This can make for a hard start, but rarely a no start condition.
Another thing, check your ignition key, the VATS may be getting cranky.
