ASR lite??

I noticed something peculiar with my '93; if I make a sharp right turn (from a start for example), my gas pedal goes way down then right back up (no acceleration, however), and the ASR lite comes on momentarily. Anyone know what's going on to cause this to happen? I thought at first that I was losing traction, but that's not the case. Any thoughts???
