in my '84. Comp Cams XE 256. #3 intake lobe just wiped clean. Comp is standing behind it with a replacement.
CC is getting slammed pretty hard on another board. Just wanted to check on this board for experiences and opinions

Many causes, one weak valve spring, insufficient lube on break in, lifter stuck in bore ( won't rotate ), re-use of old lifters, over revving engine to induce valve float...
See, there are lots of reasons. At least you get a second chance to make sure it's right.
