I don't know the F1s but just had 4 GY Eagle Ultra HP Plus installed yesterday and so far like em. They were $192 + $8 shipping. They replaced a set of GY Eagles that had 48k miles on them over 4 1/2 yrs.
They are smooth on the interstate, provide steady traction in curves and seem to hook rather well. This Sat. I may get a chance to test out rain traction & stability. Next Sat. I'll find out how well they hook up at English Town.
I have Kumhos 712 tire they came new on my 93 coupe when I bought it this year. I live in a winter climate so don't know how they will be in the snow but I can tell you they are very good in the dry and wet.
I have about 3,000 miles on mine and they look good still. It is absolutley no problem in the rain taking corners marked 30MPH at 60 or better without even a hint of slip. I am unable to get any wheelspin from a standstill even with ASR off on dry pavement.
I have the Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD-3. I have the 315's in the back and 275's in the front. they are awesome tires and handle great especially in the rain. On turns they aren't quit as good as some other high performance tires because they lack some surface area but I like the way they handle. I have tried many other tires and these were the most expensive but I think I would buy them again. The bad thing is that they wear quickly due to the soft rubber.
Firestone SZ50's are the way to go.....at the track and on the street, they have proven to be the best tires I've had......and I've had a lot of tires.........Goodyear, BFG, Yoko's, etc...way too many.
It seems that the SZ50 is not made anymore, so I actually have the SZ50 EP.....same performance, longer life.....what a tire!
BTW, Black Bird below was right, I revised this post to correct it

Except they're discontinued and you can't get them anymore. I plan on going with the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3.
I am also in the market for new tires for a 94, I have heard the kumho's have alot of road noise, anyone have this problem, my car only has 25,ooo miles on it so I don't drive it alot but want good tires.
I've been running the 712's for a couple of years on my 91. Road noise has never been a problem, with Flowmasters and the resonance, you can barely hear the radio, much less tires singing.
I had Faulkens on the car when I bought it and I could'nt get them to stick in wet weather. Went around a few times. The 712's hold on to the road pretty well. And they're really inexpensive!
I have the F1 GS-D3's also and love 'em. Very good traction wet or dry and I haven't noticed any road noise, but that may be because my exhaust is a bit loud.
