overheating
#1
Well the 86 never made it past Barstow on the way home from LA(overheating, probly cracked head). Now my 86 year old dad ,my mom, and my nephew are stranded waiting for repairs. At least the 73 camaro they bought is still running after a new battery and some wiring. If anyone has any suggestions i'm open.

They all 3 went in the 86? or do they have the camaro with them?? if so, I'd hop in the camaro, and tow the car to a mechanic...or dealer. unless you plan on going out there to bolt on a water pump on the side of the interstate... but I wouldn't leave the vette out on the side of the road for more than a few hours, they're not hard to break into.... good luck.

No they didn't leave it , they took it to a local garage and he found water in the oil this morning. I plan to ship it home and do the engine myself, I have an applied science degree in diesel machanics. check my post on valves perhaps you can help with my parts selection. They also bought a 73 camaro and were driving it back when the vette blew. I'm just a little upset at having to spend another $1000.00 just to get it home.
