I'm ready to do a flush, anyone had experience on this water wetter or is it just another 10.00 useless product?
Will it hurt any aluminum parts in the cooling system in my 93 Ruby?
Thanks for any inputs.

From my understanding, it works pretty well on systems with less than a 50/50 mix of coolant/water. The more water you have the better it works. Since I installed my manual fan switch I rarely see temps over 200 so I don't use it. Honestly I can't see how it will help a stock setup sitting in traffic.

I've used wetter water for years. Mixture is better if you use less antifreeze, say 40/ 60. Than add wetter water, it helped me by about 10-20 degrees.

I used water wetter in my 89 and in a short time the radiator looked and felt like it had motor oil in it. I called red line oil and their engineer said that it could do that with some brands of antifreeze but he didn't say what kind i had Zerex. i drained and flushed my cooling system filled it with 50/50 mix and it runs 20 degrees cooler than it did with that junk in it. My advice is DON"T USE IT.

Most water wetting agents break down the surface tension to get better contact with whatever the fluid is touching. Soap tends to do the same thing but in a cooling system the foam produced is a killer.

I use a 25 to 75% mixture of anti freeze to water, and water wetter. I have a 15 degree improvement in temperature. Have'nt had any of the other problems described in this thread. I live in Florida tho, so don't need as much protection.

I like it a lot also. It is in all my cars!
I do not use much coolant, but I also flush the system every year.
Good Luck,

I've used the Water Wetter in my friends car and had great results: After checking timing, mixture and some other parameters I tried Water Wetter and the pinging went away.
Deffinetly reduced cyl head temperatures.
