Air Intake Plenum keeps falling off!!??
Okay, anyone have problems with the plastic air plenum between the airfilter and the TB? Mine always slips off on the front end, not the TB end. I've tried to postion the clamp where the tightening point is in several different locations to no avail. Should I just replace the thing? Or is the air box warped and causing this? I'm about to drill some holes in it and bolt it together, surely there's a better way. Oh, I have a '90 coupe by the way.

If the clamp is tightening enough but the rubber is slipping off, take some medium sandpaper to the plastic neck of the air filter housing and to the inside of the rubber connector. This should give enough friction between the too to prevent slipping off.

I put some rubberized tape (thicker than electrical tape) on mine and it provides the grip needed. Been on about a year so far. Previous owner did the drill and screw and it pulled out a piece where a screw was put. I WOULD NOT DRILL IT! I think friction tape would work extremely well also.
