Default I need fender flares!

I bought a set of the AFS ZR1 replica wheels for my 85 coupe. The rears are 11.5 inches wide with Goodyear 315's on them. While AFS claims that the offset is correct for my car the wheels and tires come out 1 inch past the outside of the fender. I don't like that. I do like the look of all that rubber under my car....it looks bad to the bone from any angle. I have had more compliments about the tires and wheels since I installed them. So with that said I have been all over the net looking for fiberglass fender flares to mould to my body before I have it painted in January. I have found the small Corvette flares that fit over the top of the tire. I don't care for those. I want a flare that will go all the way around the wheel well about two inches wide. Does anyone have any idea where I can find these for a Corvette? Thanks

Yes I have seen those and they are actually the ones I don't care for. I want the ones that come on down the bottom half of the body to the bottom of the wheel opening. Has anyone ever seen these for C4?

Looks like I may have to settle for them any way. Maybe if I mould them into the body instead of them looking like they were just peeled and stuck to the fender. Thanks for the info man.

Didn't know that anybody made those wheels in 11.5's. The flairs you are thinking of are the import ones. Hard to find. There is a post talking of import vette pics around here with pics of it.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that the wheels he has are 11". If you measure an 11" rim from edge to edge I think you'll get 11.5",
but ifI you measure from bead to bead (the correct way) you'll get 11"

Thats odd that they stick out. I too have an 85 with AFS 17x11 ZR1 style wheels and mine dont stick out at all. Maybe you got the wrong offset by accident?

If you cant get the wheel situation straightened out, make your own flares, starting with a cut out template as a starting point. Its gonna cost money either way, and youll be staring at them a lot. might as well make them EXACTLY the way you want them

The imports even had flares for the front too.

Thanks guys. That's exactly how far mine stick out when you look straight down on them like the pic you posted. I believe they are the right offset after seeing your pics and hearing others agree. I'm just not used to seeing a tire out past the car. Like I said, it looks agressive and the compliments keep comming. Maybe I'm making a big deal over nothing. Thanks again.

Could get the GS flares and have the body shop blend them in... I haven't seen this done before though.

I've seen a race car C4 with flared fenders; I think they cut the quarter panels and then molded new fiberglass. I'm sure that wasn't cheap.

BTW, the GS flares are part of the export flares. The export cars have little "extensions" so the flares continue below the side molding.

There should be a picture around somwehre of a yellow late C4 with all of the euro flares. The front ones, the rear ones and the special euro rear pieces that blend them into the fenders better.
