Console plate /w shifter boot
shifter w/**** and full linkage
clutch master cylinder /w slave cylinde(whats this worth?)
brake/clutch pedal
clutch dust shield
clutch/pressure plate/flywheel
pilot bearing
throwout bearing
4 spd unit
OD unit
Anyone done this swap? any tips? I hate this damn auto. My plan is to have a seperate switch to activate the OD unit only in 4th gear and to retain the auto ecm till i swap over to a 7747.
Is the drive shaft the same lenght?
How much improvement did you get from porting? I assume you have stock injectors?
How bout the cold ram air Id like to see it & hear how it works.
http://www.corvetteforum.cc/ubb/Foru...ML/010924.html Guy is looking to do the opposite. Not sure what you have as far as parts already, figured I would try to help out, you could possibly work a trade between you two.
So far the list looks right. Only thing I can thing of adding is Harness connectors. Depending on the year you have 2-4 connectors I think. Reverse lights and such are involved in that I believe.
If you get an 84/85 console plate/switch the thing you want to do with the OD is alot easier (there was a thread abit ago talking about hardwiring the OD and bypassing any computer involvement)
Thanks i've already talked to him. I bought a 88 shiftplate and 88 shifter with the button on the shifter. Do you know if the button is a on/off switch or a momentary switch? If its an on off i was going to use it to trigger a relay for the OD unit if it a momentary im going to mount a seperate switch somewhere else and use the shifter switch for line lock or n20 or something else.

Don't forget the connections to the computer and corresponding wiring harness modifications, unless you won't miss some of the dash functions and computer-controlled shift parameters for the O/D (temp, rpm, throttle position, etc).
I know some people on the BMW boards that have done this and the thing most often left out was jumping a relay to tell your ECM (which thinks you still have an Automatic) that you are in park all the time. Otherwise, no start. Don't know if this is a concern for your vehicle but just a heads up on something you might want to look into. And as mentioned before a driveshaft is most likely needed.
