Harness bar for camcorder

The Hardbar sits too high unless you have a tiny camera.
I don't know about the crossbar.
The AS&M bar looks like it sits at the right height, but many have said they don't like the design.
The one I have is from Exotic Muscle.

Quick question....
Do you want a harness bar to stiffen the car with the ability to mount a carmera or do you just want to have a camera in the car & figure the only way to mount it is to a harness bar?
I ask because if it the the latter I can show you how to mount a camera a lot simpler with a tripod. I am using a tripod setup & it worked great for the runs through Deal's gap last month!
