In addition to the EPROM, there are two chips in the "CALPAK" of my 89 ECM. Does anyone know what the function and/or generic part number of these two chips is?

they are resistor networks. They are proprietary parts made for these memcals. I work for an electronics distributor and my product dept couldn't get a cross reference for these. They are made for GM and are not a standard part number on them. They probably only cost a few pennies, but nobody seems to be able to duplicate them at home.

oh, forgot to mention what they do! The resistor networks feed the ECM with info like cylinder select (8 or 6 cylinder) and have some basic 'limp home mode' info in case the eprom doesn't work for some reason. since alot of GM ecm's are used in a variety of vehicles, the memcal chip is the only thing that makes the Corvette ECM different than a Chevette ECM! (I don't think a chevette ever used the same ecm than a vette, but you get the point!)
