When I bought my 1987 Vette 4 yrs ago it came with the 17 x 9.5" sawblades on them without the 3/4" adaptors. My ABS light was on all the time. I cleaned up the sensors etc.. and it was still on. As of now since I put my Y2k's on with the 1.25" adaptors.. I notice my ABS light is not on anymore. WTF??? I wonder since my wheels are set up right now and are not tucked in anymore... they fit the z52 specs... will this cause the light to go off? Just curious if the whole deal in the beginning caused the light to stay on all the time ??
Non correct wheel diameters(or more specifically tire diameter) can throw off the ABS sensors. When Mackey put the 28" tires on the back and the 25" on the front, his ASR and ABS lights were on and non functional.
