my drivers side power window just quit working. Checked all the fuses...okay. As you know, there are two toggles there, one for each side..the passenger side works just fine...so the switch is getting power. What do you think? bad switch? There is bsolutely no sound coming from inside the door...the motor is not even trying to work..so I don't think it has anything to do with the apparatus itself, either the switch or the motor went out. I ran the window down as normal, and nothing after that...it just stopped cold. Thoughts?
After my passenger side sw "quit working" I found that if I press down and wiggle it I can get the window up/down. Pull the console lid and verify power to the sw to be sure.
Try this....with the door open, hold the window switch in the up or down positon and close the door. That should jar it enough to get it working again. You will probably need to replace the window motor. I did mine a couple of months ago and havne't had any problems since.
what year car. the 94 door panel is not so tough.
1 remove the door light - use a butter knife on the top about 1" in on both sides to release the snaps. there is a screw behind the light.
2 inside the door handle are 2 screws. one is visible and one is behind the door lock slide bar. the slide bar pops out by prying up and out on the grip edge. once these screws are out wiggle the door handle frame loose.
3 there are 2 screws in the armrest
4 remove the snaps on the bottom edge of the door panel. use the butter knife and work them out. you should be able to reuse them.
5 the window must be down to remove the panel. ( it hugs the upper lip of the door )
once all the fastners are out lift up on the panel
6 there are 4 wireing plugs going to the panel .... unplug them, the door handle frame can be pushed through the panel and remain plugged.
