Windshield Wipers
Yesterday I had to take a trip in the rain so I had new wiper blades put on the 93 coupe. It was one of those days with rain, mist, dry spots, spray from other vehicles. I had a problem with the wiper blade on the drivers side jumping up when I turned on the wipers and chattering across the windshield. After 250 miles of this I stopped at an Advance Auto Parts Store that just happen to have a C4 parked in the lot. When I went inside I found the clerk was the owner of the vette in the lot and I explained my problem. He pointed me to a set of teflon blades and said they worked fine on his car. When we took off the blades I had we noticed that they were higher when compared with the blades he had. The problem was that the blade I had was too tall and was springing the wiper arm up and causing the blade to hit the bottom of my hood. The 250 miles home were more enjoyable without the wipers chattering and banging on my hood

A neat trick, get the arms from a 1996 vette. They have stronger springs to keep the wiper in better contact with the glass.
