Had the same problem with ny #5 R.F's and Msd wires. I would rather know they were good and tightly sealed than loose. Can't win em all, especially when we deviate from stock. I don't think these parts are bad, but personally next time I'll be putting my ignition parts back to stock. Maybe my tach will start acting normal again.

Lone Ranger, I have the Rapidfire #5/Taylor 8mm Spiro Pro combination and have absolutely no problems regarding too tight a fit....maybe its because I have the "earlier design" Rapidfires since I have a '90?

I put RF12s in my LT4 earlier this year. They work fine.

My vote goes to the NGK camp. always dependable and with some of the new sensing coil packs still ECM/PCM friendly

Default AC Rapidfire Spark Plugs

I've never used these but the problem seems to be directly related to vacuum within the boot. I mean, the plug boot is creating a vacuum inside and the harder you try to pull the boot off, the stronger the vacuum becomes. May I suggest inserting a volt meter(the one with a small needle point) or similar tool into the top of the boot, pulling it to the side thus creating a very small hole which should release the vacuum inside the boot. Hope this works.

WOAH! Not calling anybody incompetent here.. I even said it happened to me a few different times in the past with different plug and wire combos... Just sounded to me like you jumped on AC delco for a poor design to something that can happen to just about any plug... didn't mean to get you ruffled up I'm sorry.

I wasn't really ruffled up. Anyhow, everything is good and right again, have a new set of Moroso Blue Max wires installed, and the car is running very well w/ them.

I've run the Taylors and RF's for last 3 years...~40,000 miles...no problems.

Moroso ranks right up there with Mr Gasket though...

Are you absolutely sure you didn't grab the SuperGlue instead of the dielectric????
