Default 408 top end

I am building a 408 to put into my 85 and am getting close to the end. It has a rather mild (about 500) lift cam with all forged bottom end. It will eventually have some sort of forced induction, but I am not sure what. I wondering what to go with for heads and intake. I want a fairly inexpensive bare set of aluminum heads. Now should I get a mini/stealth ram, or should I just buy an carbureted intake and customize it for EFI?

I just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in. I don't know anything about forced induction. I would suggest you stay with FI as carburators seem to have a lot more trouble metering forced induction. With forced induction nearly any aftermarket TPI, miniram or superram should work very well. I would never scrimp on a set of heads. Pay a few extra hundy's and get a good set . AFR 195's should work well for you, among others. You'll never regret it.

Finally, how on earth do you expect to pass a smog test with your set up?
