Default using thinner-ID hoses

I'm in the process of replacing a ton of 19-year old rubber hoses and vacuum lines and wanted to use red to match the exterior. I've found some red silicon vac hoses, but the inside diameter is thinner than the rubber ones. They stretch fine and fit over the nipples, but will they "flow" well enough? I'm talking maybe half the size for the thin vac hoses - but they're being sold as universal replacements!

Any ideas?

Thanks...

The smaller diameter will limit rate of air flow by the ratio of crossection between old and new.

But, since I can't think of anything controlled by vacuum that depends on quick response, I don't think it will matter.

Brakes, but I'm using the same size there...

Thanks.
