I've got a 93 and as I was playing with it the other day, I noticed that one of the little screws that holds the plastic front fender shroud in place was just dangling out of its hole. I tried to simply tighten it, but alas, it is stripped. I know that I should really replace the clip that it threads into for a "real" fix, but that seems like a LOT of disassembly for such a small issue. I tried a larger screw, but it looks kinda goofy. Anyone have any ideas? Would locktite help?
If it's just a domed spring clip, flatten it a little; it it's a spring clip with a threaded tube, replace it.
I see what you're saying, but the clip is under a lot of trim and that's a lot of removal to get to one lousy clip. Is there a way to remedy this without having to get to the clip itself?
