I'm looking to upgrade the sway bars on my car over the winter and was wondering if anyone was using sway bars from Vette Brakes & Products. My car is a '94 coupe with the base suspension. I've already upgraded my shocks, but still feel that the car leans too much through the twisties. I was looking at these:

I have both of these on my 96 plus the full VBP rear suspension kit. I think that in the front end the thing that stiffened up my car the most was a Camber Brace from R&D racing. It really makes the front end feel stiff and solid. Now granted I did that after I had the sway bars on but I think it would help more (as far as feeling goes) to give you the tighter feel you are looking for.

Thanks for your feedback. I already have the Camber-Brace on my car and while it did help, I still feel that the car leans too much. In looking at my car I saw that it has 24mm front and rear sway bars so I figured these would help.
pretty much a sway bar is a sway bar; they aren't exactly complex pieces of machinery.
That being said sway bars are not going to stiffen up the chassis. Thats just not what they are for. What they will do is minimize body roll when going around corners, helping to keep more weight on all 4 corners. You won't even notice them when driving in a straight line or if you go slow around corners - they will show up in spirited cornering or a road course.
I appreciate the feedback, but I wasn't looking for sway bars to stiffen up the chassis. I know they don't do that. I'm just looking to reduce lean in the turns.
I know that all sway bars work in the same fashion. What I was hoping to get feedback about was the handling of the car using these two sizes, 32mm front and 26mm rear.
those bars will significantly reduce roll. whether or not to get just the front or both depends on other factors, including tire sizes and alignment.
you could start by getting just the front, and see if it understeers too much or not. if you're running 275s all around and running an aggressive front alignment, my guess is that the 32mm will best match your stock rear bar.
I have both sway bars you are refering to from VBP. Qality is good and they stand behind the product in both support and workmanship. I live in the ST. Pete area and have been to the shop and can say they are a quality shop and are willing to go the extra mile for their customers. Hope his helps!!
I replaced my stock wimpy bars with the GM 92-95 Z07 30MM solid front bar, 26mm solid rear bar. I also upgraded the endlinks and bushings to poly at the same time. Very much improved roll, very nuetral handling, no added harshness. Cost me less than $250 for everything.

Well I can tell you I have no lean at all with my set up, especially in the front. I did have a pronounced push in the front end with that set up. Until I lowered the car it was very flat but it pushed something terrible. So I would say that the swaybars make a great addition, especialy if you already have the Camber Brace. One thing that I'm not a big fan of however is that poly bushings, while they may help with the roll the tend to be noisey. I have to lube them up with WD-40 every once and a while so my car doesn't sound like a baby buggy going down the road.

That's the book on the VBP 32mm solid front. It's too big and causes understeer with the 26mm solid rear. BTW, the Doug Rippie set up is what I have. It's just the Z07 bars straight from GM, with nice poly bushings. It's a great mod to DIY. IMHO, the balance of the 30mm/26mm is perfect for all the SBC C4s, esp the LT1/4 years. Soft springs and stiff bars are the modern handling upgrade. Not too harsh, less lean.

Remove the bushings and put some heavy grease in there (like bearing grease), it will stay quiet for years.
Guys thanks for all the great feedback! I originaly asked for feedback because I was concerned that the 32mm VBP front bar would be too big. This has been confirmed by those of you that claim the front of the car will want to push with this bar. I've decided to go with the factory Z07 bars (30mm & 26mm) and use poly bushings. Thanks again to everyone for their feedback.

Have you tried to autocross with this set up? What springs shocks and tire combinations? And do you have an aggressive camber setting F & R?
On my 95, I run the 30mm in front and 24mm in rear, Z51/Z07 front spring, factory soft ride rear spring and run 315/35-17 Kumhos on 11 inch wheels all the way around. The car is lowered and I have Koni sports full tension in front, and set 66% in back. With this set up, the car doesn't understeer unless I am into a turn hard on brakes. The natural tendency is still oversteer. Much of over/understeer is triggered by driving style, but I think 32mm in front would be even better. At least for the way I drive.
