what rpm?
At what rpm does your L98 shift when pedal is floored? I may have picked up a few hundred rpm from a camswap and just want to compare with others
running a stock cam.

I'm running a stock cam with 1.6:1 RRs and shift points are: 1-2=5,200rpm; 2-3=5,700rpm.

cuisinartvette, thanks but there are some others, like Vic'89, who have strong pulling L98s.
BTW Vett-eight-nine, where is your L98 shifting with the new cam?

I'm ashamed, Z01, with a zz4, the digital tach shows 4900. Mind you, it's not 100% tuned yet. Im optimistic, but, mid 5s? I doubt it....

It really should NOT be up to your cam to set the shift rpms..
It's up to your transmission to set that.
Mine shifts at 5K if I let it shift, but manually I shift at 5300rpm or so, and that's because my cam is still stock.
Before my mods and new tranny, the car shifted at 4400rpms by itself (when it didnt' slip), and was out of breath by 4800rpms..
With a ZZ4 and your cam you should be shifting in the mid to high 5k's.
(Unless you are using stock TPI (which is a waste with a ZZ4)).

With a nice cam you should be able to pull higher if intake & exhaust are not the blockage points.
Vett-eight-nine, what other mods do you have??

Vette-Eight-Nine, why don't you try to manually shift the car at higher rpms?

I will, eventually, but right now, I'm not too confident with this "base" tune I've got by adjusting the injector constant only after the install.
I'm having a hell of a time getting my datalogging rig to work
