Rear bracket for optional hardtop
I have an 88 and I bought brackets for a later convertible to support connecting a hardtop that I expect to arrive in about a week. It appears to me that more than the brackets must be different. It appears that at least part of the lever mechanism must need to be replaced too.
Could someone please explain in detail what is required to make the switch. Maybe I just don't see the trick or maybe I need another part. Also the two brackets are the same, no right or left. Is that right?

My dad is going through this process with his 88 vert as I type. He has learned a great deal and has run into a few issues since the tops don't really fit 88's. I can get you in touch with him if you are interested in picking his brain. Email me if you want the info.
